Maggie Lambert

I graduated from Ohio University in 2022 with a Master’s in Counselor Education and received my Licensed Professional Counselor in 2023. I started my journey with Mares Cares as an intern during graduate school and loved it so much that I stayed on full-time! It's been a fulfilling experience to be part of this wonderful community.

With a focus on anxiety and depression, I bring both professional and personal experience to my practice, allowing me to deeply empathize with my clients and walk alongside them on their journey to managing their symptoms.

My therapeutic approach centers around cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which emphasizes the importance of talking through experiences and reactions. I believe that the more you talk, the more you can understand why certain things are occurring and why you are reacting the way you are, paving the way for effective management of your symptoms.

It's best to reach out for my specific availability, although I am typically in the office Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM. I offer in-person sessions at 382 Arch Street while also providing virtual sessions via FaceTime, voice call, or text, depending on the client’s age.

My philosophy is centered on providing a safe environment for children and adolescents to explore their thoughts and feelings through talk and play. I believe this approach allows them to become the best version of themselves.

Outside of work, I'm a proud native of Pike County and have grown up in this general area my whole life. I'm a big family person so I enjoy spending a lot of time with them. As an animal lover, I have one dog and four cats. I enjoy playing board games and being outdoors, and my favorite place to be is the beach, where I try to visit as often as possible.

I'm looking forward to meeting you or your child and supporting you both! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
